Sabot is a third-party web platform that provides a secure verification and mediation layer for online transactions between buyers and sellers. Acting as an independent trust authority, Sabot elevates transactions in marketplace platforms, ensuring that both parties are verified, communications are authentic, and deals proceed transparently and safely. For this project, we are betting on the idea that this platform will be introduced by buyers or sellers in online marketplace chats when trust is uncertain—with scams, fake profiles, or edited screenshots in mind—often saying, “Hey, to make sure this deal is safe for both of us, let’s use Sabot—it verifies our IDs and checks our chat to avoid scams and keep everything transparent.” Using AI, the platform automatically looks at conversation screenshots from both sides and creates clear summaries of the transactions, making sure everyone agrees on the terms without worrying about messages being deleted or edited later. It also offers intelligent safety suggestions, like "add warranty to the conversation," which will be deliberated by both parties, and real-time market price validation to detect inconsistencies or potential scams. The process ends in Transaction Mode—a safe space where verified users can confidently finish their exchanges, with features like real-time location sharing for meetings, emergency alerts, and ongoing AI monitoring to ensure fairness, responsibility, and trust. In case the transaction goes south, information obtained from the verification process is automatically sent to cybercrime agencies.
